Play Leader

Our exciting new After School Club will start in September 2009. The Club will provide parents with childcare facilities between 3.30 and 6.00pm where children will enjoy a relaxed, friendly and safe environment with an imaginative range of activities for all age groups.

We are looking for a Play Leader [qualified to a minimum of NVQ 3 in playwork] and a Play Assistant [qualified to at least NVQ 2 in playwork] to run the club from Monday to Friday between 3.15pm and approximately 6pm (according to demand) during term time.

Successful candidates will:
• be organised and efficient as well as flexible in his/her approach
• be imaginative and creative
• be patient and have a good sense of humour
• be a good team member
• have good oral communication skills
• ideally have knowledge of basic first aid and food hygiene [training can be arranged]

In addition to the above, the successful Play Leader will:
• be willing to take responsibility and show initiative
• be able to manage a small team

The successful candidates will be answerable to our After School Club committee.
